Tom brings over 30 years of multifamily real estate experience spanning development, operations, and asset management across both affordable and market rate housing. His career began in 1993 following five years of service in the US Air Force, when he joined Trammell Crow Residential — and he hasn’t slowed down since.

Prior to joining Cordillera, Tom served as Executive Vice President at 11 Residential, where he oversaw a large portfolio of communities across Washington, Idaho, Montana, and California, driving significant revenue growth and substantially increasing overall property value. Before that, he served as Senior Managing Director at Greystar, leading one of the largest multifamily and mixed-use portfolios in the Pacific Northwest.

Tom has also pursued real estate on his own terms, having made his first personal value-add multifamily acquisition in 2008 — a venture that proved both durable and highly profitable over time. He holds a Business Administration degree from Washington State University with an emphasis in Economics, Marketing, and Finance, and maintains his Washington State Managing Broker’s license.

A longtime advocate for the industry and the community, Tom has served as a Board Member for the Washington Multi-Family Housing Association and on the steering committee for the PTSD Foundation of America, Pacific Northwest Chapter.

Tom lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife, where they raised their three children. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him fly fishing, out on a hike, or strumming his acoustic guitar — by his own admission, a work in progress.”
