If you noticed the Cordillera team was a little slower to respond last week, it's because we were off the grid in the Idaho backcountry!
We spent the week at Flying B Ranch, tucked along the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. With no road access, we flew in on small backcountry planes, along with Morgan's dog Dale, who survived his first flight from the comfort of Shannon's lap.
We filled our days with fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and soaking in a natural hot spring. Evenings were spent playing pool, listening to music, and eating way too much good food. Despite all the activity, we're pretty sure we came home a few pounds heavier.
One of the highlights was meeting two brothers, Austin and Patrick, who were passing through after a weeklong hunting trip. We spent an evening swapping stories, and before long, Morgan was playing guitar while Patrick sang. Turns out Patrick has an incredible voice!
Of course, we found some time to talk business, too. We had some great conversations about Cordillera's future and came away with a clearer picture of what's ahead. Just as importantly, we got to spend time together outside of work and get to know each other a little better.
A big thanks to the folks at Flying B Ranch for an unforgettable week. We're already looking forward to the next trip!
